Meet the author
Hi, I’m Lucy 👋
I’m a Specialist Children’s Dietitian, mum of two, and the author of The Amazing Fruitables.
After more than 13 years supporting children and families, I’ve seen that food confidence doesn’t grow through pressure — it grows through curiosity, positive experiences and a little bit of fun.
That’s why I created The Amazing Fruitables: to turn nutrition into an adventure children can enjoy, understand and get excited about.
One brave bite, one giggle and one adventure at a time.
WELCOME TO NUTRI-VILLE
Where laughter fills the streets, sunshine glows bright and something extraordinary is about to begin… When a peaceful afternoon takes a shocking turn and the Ice Cream Parlour is robbed by sneaky thieves, seven ordinary friends discover they are anything but ordinary.
As sunlight and nutrients combine, hidden powers awaken, transforming Sienna, Baz, Billy, Olivia, Baxter, Bessie, and Penelopea into a brand-new team of superheroes ‘The Amazing Fruitables’.
Each Fruitable has a unique strength, and only by working together can they stop the thieves, save Nutri-Ville, and learn what it truly means to thrive.
Along the way, they discover that food isn’t about good or bad choices it’s about balance, teamwork, and feeling strong inside and out. Bursting with colour, humour, and heart, The Amazing Fruitables and the Ice Cream Thieves is the perfect introduction to a heroic new series that gently builds food confidence, celebrates diversity, and shows children that when nutrients and friends work together, amazing things happen.
An empowering first adventure where superheroes are born… and this is only the beginning.
